The Next 'Buck a Block"
Here is the next 'buck a block' block from my LQS. (previous blocks)Can you believe that this is all that I have gotten done for the last 2 weeks or so?? Lots of 'stuff' happening around here, none of it what I want to have happening.....haven't gotten decorated for Christmas yet. Yesterday I finally manage to get most of the shopping finished, will have to get in groceries soon - Christmas is at my house for the family. I hope to alternate between doing some sewing (therapy) and Christmas preparation. If I don't make it back before then, I wish you all the happiest and brightest of holiday seasons, whichever holiday you celebrate.
ps- McIrish Annie asked if this was a Thangles buck a block-yes it is.

Love the block. I have to make a baby quilt and I think this is the block I'm going to use....
is that the thangles buck a block?? i'm doing that and about 4 months behind. if it is, at least I'll have a place to go for reference! LOL
Your block came out well. I know what you mean about not being ready for Christmas. I'm not ready either.
wonderful block -- and hey, part of the reason to do a buck a block is that sometimes life interfers and its all the sewing you can manage :-) Have a joyful Christmas.
I quilted one that looked a lot like that today in my sampler---there were some squares involved though. I am going to have to look at the notes to see just what some of the block names are and include in the label.
Busy time of year so don't be so hard on yourself about only getting one block done, LOL.
Looking good.............
I hope things are coming together for you Gail. Your block looks very nice - very similar to the blocks I'm making for Sophie's baby quilt. At least you got something quilty done - I think those of us not making gifts aren't getting anything quilty done.
Have a wonderful holiday!
I love your buck a block blocks. I haven't even started mine. I like the color selection you received. We had pastels, blue and white, and scarlet and gray, and maybe something else.
